Backpacking       July 27- August 1

Backpackers will have the opportunity to stretch themselves physically as well as spiritually

while enjoying old friends and new friends made along the way. Come join us for an adventure

that will not be soon forgotten.  In 2008 we will experience the beauty of Minnesota's North Shore

region and border country. Our destination for 2008 is the Superior Hiking Trail (www.shta.org). 

Backpacker magazine and other experts have rated this trail as one of America's best.  View

from expansive vistas some of the cleanest lakes in the world.  Cross paths with moose, black

bears, deer, mink, beavers and other wildlife.  See God's country up close and personal!

You will receive a complete packing list and trip info when you register.  This is a coed trip and

will involve backcountry hiking with a full backpack, which at times will be strenous, but not too

difficult. There will be a planning and informational meeting planned closer to the trip date.

Entering Grades 8 and up, $350

Canoe Trips

Our Adventure Canoe trips will be a favorite of yours for life!  Our destination is the number one

visited wilderness in North America - the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern

Minnesota.  These trips are expedition style.  We will pack our canoes and paddle off into

these beautiful waters and enjoy an adventure of a lifetime.  Here's your chance to watch the

northern lights, hear the call of the loon, walk and paddle where ancients and voyagers traveled

and build friendships and bonds you won't forget.

This trip will encourage adventure, relationships and spiritual growth.  It will involve canoeing,

portaging (or hiking from lake to lake) and wilderness-like camping.  There will be a planning

and informational meeting set for a time closer to the trip date.
