Leaders In Training (LIT)

For: Students entering grades 10-12

Dates: Session I: June 30 - July 12

Session II: July 28 - August 9

Cost: $700

This is a fast-paced, ability-stretching, leadership training program that will equip students with the necessary tools to be God-honoring leaders in their communities.

We come along side every student to mentor attitudes of humility and dependence on Christ.

Participants will shadow other counselors and administrators and evaluate and discuss leadership styles.
LIT's will be trained as activity instructors for ropes course belaying and archery.
LIT's will challenge themselves while sharing leadership roles on rock climbing, hiking and canoe adventure trips. (LIT campers will not be assisting in the kitchen).

LIT's spend the full two weeks at Camp Victory with added adventures built-in. LIT and SIT campers will stay in our platform tents, which have no electricity or Camp Talking Cure attached bathrooms. Be sure to bring shoes to hike in, water shoes for in the river, (a shoe that covers the toes and has a back to it around the heel), a sleeping bag to camp out with, and a servants heart!

SIT & LIT Registration Process

You will need to REGISTER and turn in the REQUIRED ITEMS as an S.I.T. or L.I.T. camper. There is a LIMITED amount of slots, 10-15, so please register as soon as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: It is no longer necessary for S.I.T. or L.I.T. participants to fill out applications or reference forms.

SIT & LIT Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is Sunday afternoon at 6:00 PM. Please do not arrive before 6:00 PM. SIT and LITs will check-in at the same time as other campers for the current Overnight Camp session. Dinner will not be served on Sunday evening.

Closing programs for both SIT and LIT camps will be held on the last Friday of their two week session at 5:00 PM. Parents are strongly encouraged to attend.

SIT & LIT?

A camper may be eligible to do both SIT and LIT in the same summer. The SIT camp is a pre-requisite for LIT Camp. SITs must be approved by camp's leadership following SIT week in order to attend LIT camp. Campers with interest in serving on staff at Camp Victory should participate in one or both sessions.
